Something Holy Is Happening in Mathare
Hey Family,
I pray you're well wherever you're reading this from.
But I need to tell you—something is happening in Mathare. Something we didn’t plan, can’t manufacture, and couldn’t have predicted.
Revival is breaking out.
And it’s not loud stadiums or smoke machines.
It’s a quiet hunger.
A trembling voice.
A street boy on his knees.
A young girl walking in, broken but searching, not knowing she’s about to meet Jesus.
One night in May, we started slow. The room wasn’t full—but heaven showed up. As we began to worship, you could feel it: the Holy Spirit entering the room.
Ken tha DJ began to lead us in gospel praise, and something shifted.
Teens who had never lifted their hands before were suddenly weeping in worship.
A weight lifted.
A fire sparked.
Then she walked in.
She came in quietly—almost unnoticed.
Half her hair was done, the other half undone. But her heart was wide open.
She had been running—church to church—searching.
Until something greater pulled her back.
I saw her and ran to embrace her. I knew in that moment: this was the Holy Spirit drawing her.
By the end of the night, she wasn’t just attending a service—she was encountering Jesus.
She wept at the altar.
She surrendered her life to Christ.
That night, heaven touched down.
Another night, a group of young men walked in off the street—some of them visibly under the influence.
Some women left the room in fear. But the boys looked at me and said, “We’re good boys. We won’t cause trouble.”
I told them they were welcome. I meant it.
They left shortly after.
But I started to pray:
“Lord, draw them back. Let them feel Your presence.”
About an hour and a half later, they returned.
Quiet. Respectful. Sobered.
This time—they stayed.
They worshipped.
They listened.
And when the altar call came, they didn’t hesitate.
They came forward, fell to their knees, and gave their lives to Jesus.
We placed Bibles in their hands.
Not out of pity—but prophecy. A sign of a new beginning.

These aren’t isolated stories. This has been happening all throughout May and June.
